Built in Conventional Flue
What gas fire should you choose?
Conventional flued appliances are for use where you already have a chimney or flue built in the room. If you have no chimney please see our section on balance flued appliances. Some conventional flued appliances still have a glass front making them more efficient than a non glass fronted appliance. Some built in fires will require planning before the chimney is constructed so please call to us early on in the constuction or planning phase.

How much will it cost to run?
On average gas fires use over a litre of gas per hour to run, some use more others less and their heat output can vary depending on whether it’s a basket fire generating less heat or an inset fire radiating more heat. Your sales consultant can work out average running costs depending on whether your gas supply is by cylinders, bulk tank or  metred estate.
